The work includes cross-functional leadership, resource allocation, infrastructure and technology modernization, internal controls, process improvement, and operational accountability.

The University of Maine College of Education and Human Development’s 2012–13 Annual Report documents his appointment as Internship Coordinator.
Executive Educational Leadership
Served as a Superintendent of Schools with chief-executive responsibility for public education systems encompassing personnel, multimillion-dollar budgets, operations, facilities, technology, transportation, student services, regulatory compliance, contracts, capital projects, and relationships with elected governing boards and community stakeholders.
School Leadership
Previously served as a secondary-school principal and as an assistant principal and athletic director, with responsibilities spanning personnel, school operations, student services, special education, safety, programming, budgeting, technology, and community engagement.
OPERATING PHILOSOPHY
A practical view of leadership
Organizations reveal their priorities through what they resource and what they repeatedly do. A strategic plan may describe an aspiration, but budgets, staffing decisions, calendars, workflows, incentives, and accountability systems show what an organization is actually prepared to accomplish.
That perspective informs Daniel’s writing on leadership, organizational alignment, operations, education, workforce challenges, and institutional improvement.
